What was the challenge you faced that brought you to EmailAnalytics?

I was receiving way too many emails, and so was my team. As a consequence, we were slow to respond and constantly distracted.

What made you decide to give EmailAnalytics a try?

I needed a straightforward way to get analytics about my inbox, and EA seemed like the only software specifically focused on this in a non-CRM context.

How do you use EmailAnalytics to solve that problem?

I installed EmailAnalytics for me and my team and discovered that a huge number of emails came from just a handful of sources and that these emails were usually unnecessary. EA helped me identify which accounts sent me the most pointless emails and, over a period of 2 months, my team and I were able to reduce our average monthly email load by at least 70% (don’t remember exact figure but at least that).

How has EmailAnalytics provided value for you?

I started sharing average response time “league tables” with my team members. The mere act of measuring each team member’s average response time and sharing it with them in our internal group chat reduced our team’s average response time from something like 35 hours to under 15. I guess my slower employees felt embarrassed and the faster ones became even more motivated to keep their lead at the top of the response-time table. Now, it’s almost like a monthly competition to see who has the fastest response times.

Did you have any reservations/worries about how your team might react to having their inboxes tracked? Did those concerns come to fruition, or was it a non-issue?

I was curious about if they’d have reservations, yes, but I was transparent with them about the reasons I wanted to track it, and I explained it wouldn’t be forever. None of them protested, and I don’t think they found it intrusive in the end.

Anything else you’d like to add, or anything else you would like other companies reading this case study to know?

The software is really cheap compared to what you get. Based on our company’s sales last year, one hour of my time is worth around $400. EA ultimately helped me save hundreds of hours, which means it saved me tens of thousands of dollars. But I only paid $15 a month per team member, so the ROI is just ridiculously high for me.

Would you recommend EmailAnalytics?

I thoroughly recommend any company try EmailAnalytics for at least a couple of months.
